Superfest Disability Film Festival 2022

The Social Audio Description Collective described three films for the 2022 Superfest Disability Film Festival, which screened both virtually and in person in October:

Êxtase (Ecstasy) by Moara Passoni, a feature length Brazilian film in Portuguese, AD written by Project Lead Cheryl Green, script QC by Nefertiti Matos Olivares, audio edited by Kensuke Nakamura. Narrated by non-collective member Maria Hendricks. Subtitles read by various non-SADC members.

Here/Not Here by Artemisia Films, a 29 minute experimental British film in English and British Sign Language, with AD written by and audio edited by Kensuke Nakamura, script QC by Robert Kingett, and narrated by Dwight Brady. Project Lead Cheryl Green. Subtitles read by various non-SADC members. The non-AD version of the film is available to watch online for free at BSL (British Sign Language) Zone.

Charlie by the Sea by Charlie Ekomiak, a five-minute experimental Inuk film from Nunavik in English and Inuktitut, with AD written by Robert Kingett, script QC and audio edited by Project Lead Cheryl Green. Narrated by non-collective member Teddy Hendricks. Subtitles read by various non-SADC members.
