Nefertiti, Thomas & Cheryl cited in Video Trust Magazine on streaming media access

In her article for Video Trust magazine Anna Cox discusses the accessibility features from a few educational film distributors: Green Planet Films, Inc., New Day Films, Pragda LLC, and ProQuest. Cox interviewed several representatives of New Day Films, including Cheryl, who is a collective member at New Day as well as SADC.

Cox writes, “With societal focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion along with technological development, conversations are flowing among filmmakers, film distributors, educators, and librarians about accessibility features such as captioning and audio description. We are changing the course of streaming media history. This momentum is inspiring, creative, and challenging. The purpose of this article is to reflect on recent conversations at the Video Trust annual conference in Fall 2022 and an audio event on LinkedIn titled ‘Talking with Filmmakers’ this spring.”

The audio event Cox references is the Blind-Centered Audio Description Chats co-hosted by Nefertiti, Thomas, and Cheryl.
